09 Aug 2015Open house August-September 2015. Sanshukan Kendo club is open throughout the summer weeks and extends a welcome to any kendoka wishing to train with us. Our two resident 7th Dan sensei will be in attendance so this is a great opportunity for all, particularly those whose regular dojo is on a summer shutdown. Session times are Thursdays 8:30 to 10:15, guest fees are waived over this period. See the home page for location details, plenty of free on-site parking is available. Please contact us via the links page or our facebook group to let us know rough numbers a day or so in advance if possible.

12 Jul 2014Congratulations to Pip Cox on reaching third place in this weekend's Premier's Cup! The club was well represented at the event, with everyone who took part scoring ippon and winning at least one match. Pip fought very well on the day, making short work of a nito opponent and his sempai on the way, before eventually losing the sem-final to a 4th Dan - well done Pip.

21 Apr 2014Congratulations to Pip on passing his BKA Level 1 Coaching course at the weekend. The club now has a healthy complement of qualified instructors which bodes well for the future.

02 Jan 2012Change of session hours. Owing to Kings College taking a booking imediately prior to ours, club session times will move to 8:15-10:15pm, effective from 5th Jan 2012. The additional booking is short term and we hope to revert to our original times later this year.
06 Dec 2011At last - some good taikai news! At this weekend's Oxford Cup two club members did themselves and the club proud. Congratulations to Waqas Khan on winning the kyu-grades competition, and to Darren Page for winning the Fighting Spirit Award and coming 4th.
02 Dec 2011Sanshukan Kendo Club wishes to congratulate Geoff Salmon sensei on achieving the shogo grade of Kyoshi. Sensei has also been selected to referee the 15th Kendo World Championships in Novara, Italy.
Our kendo club is honoured and privileged to receive tuition and support from such esteemed leadership, these awards are justified recognition of the work our senseis continue to put into UK kendo.
